Coo-eee, I’ve Moved, I’m Kinda Back, I’ve Made A Mess and I’ve Been Making More Secret Stuff …

Well, a while back I left you all to fend for yourselves whilst I moved house. I am VERY pleased to say that it’s now done and everything is in.

Cannot tell you how grateful I am as it appeared that more ‘stuff’ has been collected since moving out of the motorhome a couple of years ago and the place needed a coat of paint before I handed back the keys.

Living in that ^ mess for a few weeks with the ever-present aroma of gloss and emulsion was not funny.

Anyway, the result of that effort was SOOOOO worth it as I am now living here!

A wee slice of idyllic countryside far enough from the beaten track to be considered remote. You can probably tell that from the long dirt track that leads to my home in the photo that accompanied this post.

The views from inside are ok too.

Inside is taking shape.

I’ve got the basic layout of how I would like it to be down, I just need to add some more furniture, sort things into their ‘proper’ places and perhaps spruce up the decor a little with some of my work.

One of my neighbours is super friendly. She even likes head massages and will often come to say hello and chill out with me.

I have a wee secret garden but also access to a wider area that is well established with a whole bunch of green things and coloured wotsits – you may have guessed by that that I am not particularly green fingered.

Thank heavens that the garden doesn’t have to rely on me for survival!

Anyhoo, I may not be green fingered but this week I was brown fingered – which sounds distinctly horrid however it was because I was shovelling out a hole with my hands into which a green cone could be installed.

It’s one of those composting things that allows you to put all of your food waste in including shells and bones and saves it going to the landfill.

The crafting has been continuing sporadically, hence why output on the blog has been fairly one-track, but I’ve been working on a variety of things that I hope to share in the near future.

The craft mess is already spreading, of course.

On top of all of that, I have been working on a couple of secret projects which are almost ready to be shared but for now, I shall simply have to pop up a couple of pictures and let your imaginations work away.

Intriguing, eh?

Anyhoo, I didn’t move out of Scotland – just from the West coast to the East coast – and therefore still have an excuse to have a wee nip at the end of a long day, sooo….

Yoink!

I reckon that I will be happy here for a good while, don’t you?

Tata for now and see you soon – probably even on your TV *wink!

Oh, rude of me not to ask, how have you been?

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to sharing more with you soon!

Bye for now.

J :)

  5. Oh wow John! What a beautiful place. I had to laugh though. When I looked at this last night, for some reason hardly any of the pictures on the post loaded up. So I could see the comment that said one of your neighbours was very friendly and like head massages, but no photograph. ‘Strange’, I thought, ‘must be a bit of a new-age hippy type’ … ah, a dog! That makes much more sense LOL!
Be happy in your new home, the light will be amazing with those roof windows! Clare x
