How To Make A Star Card Video Tutorial

I recently demonstrated how to make a star card, which folds out, and thought that it would be a great idea to put a video together to show you all too.

Here is what I mean by a star card.

Looks cool, doesn’t it?

Even better still is that it opens out to reveal whatever message, sentiment or imagery you want to place on the inside.

In addition, although I start with a twelve-inch square sheet of cardstock in the video, this method will allow you to make this style of card with larger or smaller squares because you are simply working with half lengths and not specific or constraining set measurements.

Anyway, brew ready?

Just hit play.

  1. Hi john, i would love to try this card but was unable to see your diagram as the paper is blue and could not see the grey pencil lines.
Finished result looks good and can be used for exam results or other acheivment

  2. Personally… love the music but if it makes hearing the content more difficult for some, your dulcid tones will more than suffice.
Ooh you are soooo patient with the measuring…I worked this concept out with ‘a bit of scrap n tweak’ technique and started with the central triangle, replicated that and drew around it added to each of the sides to create the net.
Either way I love this card and the secret reveal/treasure it can hold.
Keep ’em coming you busy little bee.
    Cheers

  3. Love this card John and I think I will give this a try for some special Christmas cards. Thank you so much and I hope indeed that you will keep the music away in future videos.

  4. I love your videos but this one I cannot watch. Please remove or lower the music. I am hard of hearing and cannot hear you properly.
It is so much more personal without music. It feels as though you are talking to us and not just demonstrating.
