Couture Creations John Bloodworth Cut Foil and Emboss Dies Foil Results (1) copy

180 Ladies and 2 Men. I’ve Got My Hands All Over Them! My Little Tool. SQUEEEEEEEEALL! –

Now, if there was a blog post title with more innuendo in it, then I will stand corrected. Lol!

What is it all about though? Oh, just one of the most exciting days of my life, that’s all.

Want a sneaky peeky? Ok, go on then …

Today I finally got my grubby little mitts on the ACTUAL Cut Foil & Emboss dies that I will soon be launching in conjunction with Couture Creations.

More about that can be seen in this blog post. It may make some of this post make more sense.

If you are up to speed, check these out!

Gentleman Crafter John Bloodworth In Australia 2

Seriously nearly wet myself getting my hands all over them!

These are the Cut Foil & Emboss dies that I have designed for Couture Creations and will be launching this month!

As you will have seen I have been sharing some tests and bits and pieces in various places about these but this was the first time that I got my hands on them – and I had to fly to Australia to do that!

Well, I didn’t have to but when asked to, naturally I said yes. Lol.

Anyway, 22 hours, three airports, two planes, assorted mini meals, 1 tiny toothpaste tube and a numb bum later, and I was at Brisbane airport close on midnight.

The lovely Kerrie Gurney met me and she whisked me over to the hotel where I had a wee nap and then got to see the sunrise before the rest of Brisbane woke up.

I didn’t come all this way just to pick up the dies. There was another reason for the visit.

It was to pop my head into the Creative Inspirations Live event, organised by Couture Creations, in Brisbane. So, after a day of die cutting and sweating, it was warm and I am not used to that, I went along to do that head popping in thing.

YOINKS! That’s a lorra seats – each one to house a crafters bum.

They began filing in at 8am and by the time we got started at 9, this is what it looked like…

180+ awesome Aussie crafters tinkering away!

In order to give all of those lovely ladies the chance to try out the new Cut Foil and Emboss dies, I think we set a new world record at die cutting around 700 times in under two hours.

Those GoPress & Foil machines can really take some use! As did the retailers that had dedicated their time to helping out on the day – THANKS LADIES AND STEPHEN! xxx

Anyway, it was a wonderful weekend meeting our down-under counterparts and seeing how they do things in Australia.

The Creative Detailing tool, which I have yet to show you, received it’s own nickname too – ‘John’s Little Tool’. I think I’ll leave that story as a ‘what happens on tour…’ story.

Also, seeing the sun was a rare treat too, lol!

Now, I will share more pics with you from the 10th, including some example projects that I made up to test the designs but, in the meantime, here are a few sneak peeks to whet your creative appetite!

Exciting, YAS?!

Right, I’d best get pack up as I need to move on down to Sydney and Melbourne for some quick pit stops and to catch up with old mates.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them in the comments section below.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to sharing more with you soon!

Bye for now.

J :)

That’s cheered me up no end, thank you xxxx lots of stress at the mo that is manifesting into some serious anxiety, all fairly unavoidable unfortunately but not letting it ‘cloud’ my world.

    • Hi Deidre, They will be out this month. Sadly no Scan N Cut cross compatibility here on these at the moment. You will, however, be able to use them with and without foils and in most die cutting machines, so that’s a bonus :)
