Handsewn Loyalty Card Wallet Cut With Scan N Cut by John Bloodworth Gentleman Crafter (1)

A Quick Teaser

So, in November last year, I stumbled across an awesome product that folks with electronic cutting machines, and perhaps others, are going to LOVE – especially if you want to make wallets or handbags.

I, therefore, set to work testing it with a simple project that I made in Canvas Workspace, cut on my Scan N Cut, hand stitched together and am pleased to be able to share those results …

The finished project was a loyalty card wallet.

It’s been a while since I hand stitched anything but I think I did alright, just – especially as I was using a book stitching awl to pre-punch the holes.

Anyhoo, the good news is that it all came together nicely from concept to finished project and cut beautifully on the Scan N Cut.

The bad news is that I am NOT going to share the secret ingredient just yet.

How naughty!!

Hehe, the reason is that I want to create a video for this project and release it as a Scan N Cut Saturday post. Hopefully before the end of the month…

I will also be including a printable template for folks that don’t have a cutting machine but for now, I shall just be smug in the knowledge that it worked!

In the meantime, I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this one and to hear from any of you about projects that you would like to make with fabric on your SNC machines.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them in the comments section below.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Anyway, like I said, this was a quick teaser so I shall sign off now.

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll catch you again soon.

  1. Would it be possible to make the holes on the scanncut? I know it would be a lot of faffing about the first time, but if making several? Net sure what the smallest diameter on the machine would be…
