Craft Business Craft Influencer 2018

Flippin’ Crikey, I’m An Influencer like Kirstie Allsopp, Fearne Cotton, Kelly Hoppen and Savile Row tailor/TV presenter Patrick Grant – Wait, WHAT?!

So, a little surprise that popped up recently was a lovely email from Angela Sara West, a freelance journalist, that was writing an article for Craft Business magazine…

Angela’s email began by explaining the purpose of the contact.

“I’m writing an article on the biggest craft influencers of 2018 for Craft Business magazine…”

Ok, I know Craft Business magazine, it’s the UK’s largest-circulated trade magazine for the craft industry.

I also know the word biggest. When linked with me it usually accompanies phrases like, “…idiot in the room” or “…bum” or, oh wait, I probably can’t say that last one.

But, what is this “influencer” thing?

So, apparently, this means that I, or perhaps the stuff that I shove on this blog, has had an impact – been noticed and engaged with – by other people that are interested in the same thing.

So that’s pretty awesome.

Linking all of those things together though made my head melt.

The UK’s largest-circulated trade magazine for the craft industry has selected me as one of 2018’s 25 biggest influencers and put me mush in their publication!!!

Yoinks!

But hey, check out some of the other names in the list – Kirstie Allsopp, Fearne Cotton, Kelly Hoppen and Savile Row tailor/TV presenter Patrick Grant!

Blimey! I must have done something good to get on that list for sure!

Anyway, it’s time for me to de-puff my chest, stop my head from expanding, pocket the moment and crack on but before I do, many thanks to Angela Sara West & Craft Business for the feature and thanks AGAIN to you lot for reading this wee blog.

Exciting eh?!

J :)
