‘Ere, fancy a little bit of love? No, I don’t mean in the cheeky wink wink kinda way, I simply mean a fabulously simple card.
It follows on from the Creatively Colourful Card that I shared the other day.
It also uses a few of the same goodies.
Want to see it? Ok, here ya go.
Not bad eh? Quite ‘lovey’, elegant and simple. Timeless, even.
Ok, let me give you a quick idea of what was used and how I did it.
There were a couple of the key elements that I wanted to show you. First, this little flower making die. I know, I know – you’re sick of flowers! The reason that I wanted to share this with you though is that it’s the perfect size for card making – for reference, I am using an A6 card.
Also, it was only £3.99 – bargain! If you want one, just pop over to Craft Stash and chuck it in your basket.
Speaking of bargains, I am re-using the word dies from the other day. These are by Poppy Crafts and available exclusively through Craft Stash at only £3.19 for 4!
Next, I am using a sheet from the Wow! Resist Paper pack that I used the other day. This time it was a nice flourishy one.
I started out by inking the sheet with my new Rose coloured Aladine Dye Based Inkpad and Blending Tool.
This was then layered onto some pink cardstock and then onto the A6 card.
Before starting out I had also collected up a tag and leaf die and cut the tag from the white and pink cardstock that made up that card so far and then a bit of the left over inked resist paper.
The leaf was then cut three times from white cardstock.
These were glued in place.
Simple so far.
Then I cut the word ‘love’ using the ‘Poppy Crafts’ word die from some of the pink and some of the inked cardstock. I also cut some of the flowers from the pink cardstock, which looks purple in the next picture.
I glued the word in place on the tag.
Then rolled up the flowers and glued together before attaching the card.
And hey presto, bish bash bosh, job done!
Not bad for a quickie.
What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts.
Right, post done, I’d best go get packed for this weekend’s Scan N Cut workshop – the last of the year!
Thanks for stopping by. See you again soon.
Best wishes,
J :)

Really pretty card but simplistic with its own sophistication. Oops big words . I also bought the same inks a month ago from Joanna sheenes site. Low spend and free postage 😱. You could so easily make lots of stunning cards just by changing things around . Good luck with your workshops . 🤸🏿♀️🤸🏿♀️🤸🏿♀️

John, this is beautiful, my kind of card. I love how you have embossed the flowers from the curl base. I shall have to try that. Hope your new job is keeping you on your toes. I am sure you can show them a thing or two.
