Creatively Colourful Card

December 3, 2018 — 13 Comments

During Black Friday I got myself a few bargains but am still working a fair bit away from home so I only had a short amount of time to make something.

What did I do and how did I do it? Read on, chum…

First, let me show you the bits and pieces that I nabbed during the shopping frenzy.

There were a few new inkpads and blending tool for my collection.

These are dye based inkpads by Aladine from Craft Stash.

Then, some sentiment dies.

These again were from Craft Stash.

The next thing that I planned to use I have had in my collection for some time.

Resist papers work really well with dye based inkpads so I am glad that I still had them.

‘Stuff’ assembled, time to crack on…

I swooshed and dabbed and swirled with the inks until I had a rather colourful background.

After wafting this around a bit I slapped it onto some black cardstock and then onto an A6 card.

Finally I chopped the sentiment from black and white cardstock and glued this on the front of the card.

Bish bash bosh, job done!

Nice, innit?

Time to sign off now. What do you think?

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Many thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon.

J :)

I really like that you have used so few products to produce this stunning card where less is more. Sometimes it is overwhelming looking at a craft stash knowing where to start, thanks for the inspiration
