Fear is such a disabling emotion, I would say. Fear of the unknown can have us sitting unable to move and wondering what will happen.

Over the years I have tried to replace this with curiosity – it doesn’t always work but I thought that it’d be cool to make an ATC to remind me of this.

If you would like to know a little more about this project, here are a list of the supplies used and a quick step-by-step of the method.

Supplies

• Blank Artist Trading Card,
• Stampscapes Rubber Stamp 148F – Waterside Bluff (Left),
• Archival Inkpad – Black,
• Tim Holtz Distress Inkpad – Spun Sugar,
• Tim Holtz Distress Inkpad – Salty Ocean,
• Ink Blending Tool,
• Tim Holtz Idea-ology – Small Talk Stickers,
• Scissors,
• Large Acrylic Block,
• Pritt Stick,

Method

1. Stamp out the wavey design towards the base of the ATC using the black archival inkpad and give it a couple of minutes to dry. I stamped it upside down and positioned it so that most of the grassy bank was off of the ATC.
2. Use the ink blending tool to create a graduated pink background from the top edge to just below the top edge of the water.
3. Again, with the ink blending tool, apply a graduated layer of the salty ocean ink working from the bottom edge to just above the top edge of the water.
4. Trim the sentiment and apply to the ATC.
