Following on from last week’s tutorial my mind began to wander through other ways of using this interlinking technique when I landed on the idea of creating decorative monograms.
This can be achieved with any font, but you may need to use the type converter or desktop canvas in order to convert the text to outlines first if you don’t want to use the built-in fonts found in canvas workspace online.
Here are some examples of what you will be able to make after this tutorial.

See how the letters look as if they are wrapping around or through each other? Neat eh?
Ok, video in a mo.
I also have quite an archive of blog posts relating to this machine so if you would like to have a look through those, here are a few links for you.
- Scan It Saturday Archive – an archive of weekly blog posts featuring tutorials.
- SVG Saturday Archive – a selection of blog posts featuring free SVG cutting files.
- Digital Craft Emporium – my SVG cuttings files for sale.
Also, if you did not know, I now have a full Scan N Cut workshop available over on Udemy which will give you all that you need to know about this amazing machine. Click on the image below to pop over and find out more.
Right, let’s get cracking.
Hope you enjoyed that and will find it useful in the future.
