This week I received an email from Gillian asking how to create a text topper where the text is drawn and the topper is cut. This is quite simple however I didn’t seem to be able to put this into written words well so I decided to make a video of it.
It really is quick and simple and once you know how you will be creating toppers galore!
This process works with all types of type – no pun intended. By this I mean that you can use the logos, fonts in canvas workspace, text from the True Type Converter or indeed even use the desktop version of canvas workspace to type with your fonts directly onto the toppers.
In the video, I show you a few of these different uses and also show you how to then go on and make duplicates of your design.

Thank you John, this was just what I needed today to make a Fathers Day card. I watched your video twice and then I was able to make a topper. Thank you once again for all the videos you very kindly give to us, I am now getting more adventurous with all my new found knowledge.
