3D Printing returns to the blog in 2018 with a range of ideas for creating some cool projects and tutorials.
This post will feature a video tutorial on how to make an assortment of shaped beads with a hole through the centre for threading.
Best of all it is the first in a three-part series that will help you get to grips with designing things in Microsoft 3D Builder!
Here is what I will be aiming to show you in the video that you will find further down on this blog post page.
Of course, once printed and decorated you can make these beads into any style of jewellery that you want. I made mine into earrings.
The video is approximately 6 minutes long and by the end of it you will be able to design a series of basic shaped beads in Microsoft 3D Builder and save them ready for taking to your 3D Printer.
It will start off by showing you the basic design process for the cube bead. I’ll then repeat this slightly quicker through the cylinder, pyramid, hexagon and the video will then end with a guide on how to complete the Torus (doughnut shape) as this involves a couple of extra steps.
