Thanks John. Sounds really interesting. WD40 is a most remarkable stuff that can be used for all sorts of things.

Thank you for sharing this video and making it simple to understand. I have been wanting to try this but got confused with floetex and other products they said we needed. When all I needed was WD40 and PVA. I will be trying this out now so wish me luck and will show you my works, hopefully they will be as good as yours. Off to hunt for the WD40. Thank you for the awesome video! I can’t wait to try this technique! Your way of explaining was very easy to understand. I also love that the project can be done without spending a ton of money. As a crafter, I have all these things on hand (raiding my son-in-law’s tool box for the WD-40!) I can’t wait to try this! Looks like so much fun! John, thanks for making such a comprehensive video of the technique and demystifying messy paint pouring.
I’ve got a large stash of paint thanks to my daughters A level art course (she ‘needed’ every colour in the art shop) so there’s plenty to use up and keep me going for quit some time!

Do you think that just before you let the canvas dry, you can put a piece of cardstock over it, remove it en let that dry also? Or do you think you will ruin the paintsurface on the canvas?

I think it would probably ruin both but there’s nothing stopping you trying it.

Wow John thank you! Suggestion…..if a larger tray is needed, plastic greenhouse staging trays or plastic potting trays would be a cheap easily washable option.
