For those of you that are joining me on the journey into 3d printing, now or in the future, you will be pleased to know that there are a plethora of free things that we can take advantage of already out there.
In this week’s 3D Thursday post I wanted to share some of these with you.
The lists are in no particular order as it’s really down to you as to what you want to get out of them.
First, some great resources for 3D printing files.
Thingiverse offers a large range of free 3D printing files uploaded by designers. You can leave a financial tip if you liked the design and want to support the designer and there are also some paid options too.
Some great free files for a variety of things from toys & games, miniatures, home living, jewelry & fashion, gadgets, art and people & creatures.
3D Shook offer a great range of contemporary designs – check out the trial gallery to find the freebies.
A great range of designs from free to paid – this is where I found the box top tile that was featured in this blog post.
Lots of free 3D designs available here but you will need to filter out the 3D images and find the 3D print ready files.
Although most of these are really awesome but may attract a small fee – use the menu at the top of the screen to find the 3D print ready files.
Home to 30,000 guaranteed 3D printable objects and more than 5,000 designers – worth a browse.
Quite a lot of geeky models but a few gems to be found.
Ok, hope you find something of use in this collection. Join me in part two for free design software!
If you are interested in getting into 3D printing, you should be able to find good value options, along with relevant accessories, at the following retail outlets.
Many thanks for stopping by, I’ll catch you again for another post very very soon.
Bye for now.
