Scan N Cut Canvas Update 2.5.0

Brother Scan N Cut Canvas Updates

Howdy my scanny chums. As there has been a couple of minor updates and changes to Scan N Cut Canvas recently I thought that I would pop a quick video up explaining them.

First, Mozilla Firefox users can now access the Scan N Cut Canvas software online. There are however limitations but some access is better than none.

The second update gives us the ability to import the image that is being traced onto the virtual mat so that we can work directly over it – handy if you want to refine the tracing after you have done the auto-trace. For more on this and what you will see, please have a gander at the video below.

By the way, don’t forget that this is just the online software. No update is required for your machine or computer.

Many thanks for stopping by. I’ll be back soon with more of these.

Bye for now.

J :)

  1. I must be missing something. I’m not sure what ‘tracing’ is all about, is this different to scanning?

    • It’s the same as tracing in real life. You take an image and trace an outline. In this case you choose an image and Canvas finds an outline to create a cutting file from. Similar to scanning but it means you can do it all online rather than print an image and then scan it.

  2. Hi John – I have an older CM600 machine so I assume that this feature is only available on the wifi models.
