All Counties Craft Challenge Diary – Big Ass Diary Update Part 3

Phew! Still more to go – ready for part 3?

Ok, let’s go …

All Counties Challenge Header

No time to stop as it was time to head back to Peterborough to kick of a Pick of the Week show series with the Brother Scan N Cut. So back up to Cambridgeshire it was for a midday launch.

On Friday evening, after launching the shows in Peterborough during the day, Maisy and I headed on up to Kanban HQ. We parked up at a motorway services for the night amongst all of the lorries, most of which had legged it by the morning when I awoke – something I said?

At least it was good to see some sunshine :)

Time for us to leg it too – to Kanban HQ!!!

We found the venue easily and parked up with a few minutes to spare so finished off the coffee and had some ‘fresh air’.

Then I headed towards the building we found this discreet little doorway and stepped inside …

I made my way upstairs not knowing what to expect … and was astounded to find so much goodliness!

Rack upon rack of gorgeous papers and cardstock!

I sensed a browse may be on the agenda…

Anyway, we met Kanban Keith, who had invited the Challenge to the store.

Keith had asked if we could do a ‘play-day’. Basically we lob a load of stuff out on the table and just play – naturally I said yes!

Fifteen ladies booked – and two ladies found us by chance – so we had a full house around or work area.

The table was laid out and ready and I added a few bits of my own before we kicked off the day and got creating.

I even got the time to make some things during the session. Here are some snaps from the day ..

Cool eh?

Anyway, time to say goodbye to the ladies and have a quick browse of the shop before jumping back into Maisy and bolting it down the motorway back to Peterborough ready for more Scan N Cut shows on Create and Craft TV this week.

A lovely sunny and smooth drive down the motorway was had – which always makes it a nicer experience than in the dark and rain. Made such good time that I managed to squeeze in a lovely catch up meal with me old mates Rachel and Leonie.

I was even introduced to Prosecco. Not that impressed. :/

Anyway, a quick sleep later and it was back into the studios to do some more live shows and that my friends just about brings us up to date – phew! What a few weeks!

Now, I have only really given a few updates via Facebook but wanted to say a MASSIVE BIG ASS thank you for all of the contributions over the last few weeks as it has brought the challenge total to almost £17,500 ! I am so grateful to you all – it really does keep my faith in humanity alive each time a pound is popped into the communal pot.

  3. What a wonderful achievement to have raised so much already. I am very envious of all those who have made it so far to your workshops, and am hoping to be fit enough to get to the Scan n Cut one in Dumfries on the 12th March. Keep up the great work you are doing and may I add what a brilliant idea it was to do the Challenge in the first place.
