New Cross Stitch Pattern eBooklets At Digital Craft Emporium

July 5, 2016 — 3 Comments

Very excited to let you know about some new cross stitch pattern ebooklets that I have created for the Digital Craft Emporium today.

Each one is based on an inspiring image that I have either taken or created – want to know more?

Then read on dear chum…

BE THE CHANGE

The first is based on an inspirational quote that I am trying to live up to. It is entitled ‘Be The Change’ and features the phrase, ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’, written in a beautiful font and placed on a colourful watercolour style background.

The finished project is approximately 12.5″ x 16.8″ (31.8cm x 42.7cm) and is recommended to be worked on 16HPI Aida with Madeira stranded cotton.

BLACKSHAW MOOR

The next design is bases on a scenic photograph that I took whilst at Blackshaw Moor. The image has been converted into two different painted styles and then made into the cross stitch pattern.

Version one is approximately 27.4″ x 7.8″ (69.7cm x 19.8cm) and is recommended to be worked on 16HPI Aida with Madeira stranded cotton.

Version two is approximately 21.9″ x 6.2″ (55.7cm x 15.9cm) and is recommended to be worked on 16HPI Aida with Madeira stranded cotton.

BRIGHTON BEACH

Whilst I was working on scenic photographs I also wanted to include one of my favourite locations, Brighton Beach.

This image was taken during a particularly cool but bright day whilst walking along the promenade and shows the old pier in the distance with a beautiful blue sky in the background and the pebble beach in the foreground. The lens blur effect has been returned for a photo-realistic effect in the finished piece.

The finished project is approximately 9.0″ x 31.2″ (22.9cm x 79.4cm) and is recommended to be worked on 16HPI Aida with Madeira stranded cotton.

WATERCOLOUR MEADOW

For the fifth and final pattern I turned to an image that I took of Stamford meadows some time back. This image had already been recreated in watercolours and I thought that it would make a lovely abstract design for stitching.

The finished project is approximately 18.8″ x 22.2″ (47.6cm x 56.5cm) and is recommended to be worked on 16HPI Aida with Madeira stranded cotton.

Each booklet has a reference image on the cover, a general introduction, a ‘what you will need’ guide to fabric and threads, a key to symbols in the chart and the chart itself. So that you can conveniently print these at home the chart has been split over several A4 pages and there is a handy page layout too.

Ok, now that my chest is puffed with pride at these designs I think that I should turn my hand to some more creativity.

Hope you like these and will have a go at making them in the future – if you do, I would love to see your finished and framed designs!

Many thanks for visiting this post and I hope to have more designs for you in the near future.

Bye for now,

J :)

I’m very impressed, they are beautiful, especially Brighton Beach. I might have a go at that, if my eyes are up to it. It’s years since I did any cross stitch, and I could do with something different for a change. Anne
