Artist Trading Card Daily 126

Good morning! :) It’s lovely to see you again today.

Yesterday I achieved five ATC365 blog posts – can I do it again today?! Hope so…

To kick today’s off I thought that I would send you well wishes for the day ahead.

Artist Trading Card Daily 126 Creative Stamping Magazine 1

This one started out with a crisp white piece of cardstock and a mini flower stamps from the collection that I have that came free with Creative Stamping Magazine.

I plonked the stamp into Memento ink and then plopped it onto the cardstock. These are technical terms you know ;)

Hoping to be able to add some shading in later I added some clear gloss to the petals of the flower.

After that had dried I reached for a make up sponge – yes, I have a ready supply – because I’m a crafter! Lol.

I dragged two blue shades of Adirondack ink down the Artist Trading Card. The clear gloss resisted the ink as anticipated.

Now, I was going to go on to add some more detail in the background however I really liked the simplicity of this design and how the flower heads look as if they are just raising their heads, as you probably are if you’re reading this when I post it.

I therefore chose to leave it as it was and just add the “Have A Great Day” sentiment.

So that’s another one done and I sincerely hope that you have a great day!

  3. Hi John

Great Idea to use the clear gloss as a resist, whole lot easier than masking for something like this! Great colours again.

You have a great day too!
