Winter Wishes To You And Yours

October 20, 2015 — 11 Comments

Well howdy there! Two things have happened this week.

One, winter has proper landed, at least where I am.

Two, I’ve been having a little tinker with some ‘tester’ bits that I have had laying around since creating them to highlight the results of ome products and files that I designed.

I am 100% sure that you don’t want me to share the wintery bit so I shall instead share some winter wishes via the card that I made with my ‘bits’.

Winter Wishes From Digital Craft Emporium - 1

That’s reet smart, even if I do say so myself. :)

So listen, because I was tinkering I didn’t take any step-by-step photos but here is a quick run down.

I used the following cutting files with my Brother Scan N Cut:

The fancy header card was modified by chopping it in half at the fold line and then gluing the swirly ends together so that it became a side fold card, rather than a tent fold card.

The trellis was then chopped down to fit inside the fancy header frame.

I rolled and secured the flowers with a little PVA and then glued in place with Pinflair glue gel so that they looked more like a bouquet of bursting blooms (oo, bit of illiteration there fore you).

To finish I added some ‘Candi’ to the centre of the flowers and then created the winter wishes sentiment on the computer, printed and cut it out (with scissors – I know, how ‘old school’) and then shaped it and stuck it in place with Pinflair glue gel in order to maintain the shape.

The last bit was to add some mini pearls to each of the intersections of trellis around the edge – and hey presto, Bob really IS your uncle – job done!

Now for the dramatically lit fashion shot …

Swish those hips love!

Lol, anyway, before I go completely off my rocker, I’d like to send you all winter wishes and I hope that you are all ahead in the race to get everything ready for the big ‘C’.

Many thanks for taking the time to read about my little creations.

I’ll see you again soon!

Thank you for sharing your creations and cutting files. Amazing site for a beginner.

Thank you for sharing your gorgeous card and the cut files!

What a lovely card John, very unusual. I love it.especially the beautiful flowers. I haven’t bought any of your cutting files yet as I have only just got my scanNcut out the box! It was only in there for about 10 days! I wanted to clear my head( and space!) first.
I’ve been having a nosey around to see what I like and I shall be buying some soon.I love the advent calendar boxes, fear I’m too late for this year now though! Xxx

    Wow! Very striking, John. xx

Beautiful design John. I just don’t know where you find the time to do all these wonderful creations! Thanks for sharing. I have made a start with my ‘C’ cards! But long way to go. I get a few prepared in piles ready for sticking & putting together. So I don’t seem to make much progress at first then when I start putting them together it all happens quickly which makes me think oooh I’m getting on well here!! Counted up last night & I’ve got nearly 40 waiting!! All different! Then I’ll gave a go at a digital batch of the same design, so I shall be making headway! I make all my own cards & at Christmas it’s about 150!

A beautiful card to start the winter with, love it. The flowers really do burst out towards you. I could pick them and place them in my card garden. I use lots of flowers on my crafting never blue ones, yet! Thank you John more inspiration I’m being blooming overwhelmed!! More please. Maria ps.cutting files amazing. Xxx
