Hello again! Here is the next in the series of Artist Trading Cards from my year long challenge.
This one celebrates the fact that Spring is almost here – sort of. Well, I’m sure it’ll turn up when it wants to.
This creation started with a scenic hilly stamp that I got free with issue 23 of Creative Stamping magazine.
I stamped this with brown archival ink and allowed that to set.
The sentiment, from the same set, was then stamped in black archival ink just above the scene.
The colour was applied with Tim Holtz Distress ink pens and then softened and spread with a water brush.
I finished it by trimming it down to size and layering it onto beige and black cardstock to make it look like it was a framed image – good choice, right?
Anyway, just another quickie here. Hope you liked it.

Hi Like the idea of using the colours of card stock to look like picture frame, will certainly borrow that idea.
Can I ask a big favour, just received Couture set of dies ‘into the woods’ collection from Create & Craft and together with others after reading reviews and looking at past shows can’t seem to work out how the closure set works. Would be wonderful if some instructions posted or better still a video. Many thanks Jan

I’m afraid that I don’t have those dies Jan and with this being my personal blog it’s unlikely they will appear until I get some.
I’ll definitely suggest it to relevant people at Create and Craft though.

Lovely stamping John. I like how the field is shaded to give the effect of light and shade from the passing clouds. X Chris

Hi John
Quick but very effective, plus I like it as it looks like the field across the road, freshly sown ready for the spring and summer sun to make it grow.
Keep going John, love the variety :-)
