Today’s ATC is all about good times with good friends.
The design features two friends fishing by a river bank. Now, whilst you wouldn’t find me in a month of Sundays doing this I thought that the overall image was really cute and really summarized the thought well.
The topper design was from a sheet made by The Hobby House called Summer Splash. Because there were two of the same design I thought that a little impromptu decoupage wouldn’t go amiss.
I first cut out the piece that was going to form the topper and added a link inking around the edge with a blue pigment ink.
I then cut out the second topper with a craft knife – I may have mucked up the leg areas a bit, but then children get into all sorts of scrapes don’t they? I know that I used to, lol :)
After layering this on with some Pinflair Glue Gel I added a few dabs of Glossy Accents to the water and the little fishy to give that “wet look”.
The pennant with the “good times” sentiment on it was hand lettered using a Pigma Micron pen and then cut out and ink before being stuck down with PVA glue.
And that just about sums that one up.

A lovely image though, and I fully agree. I love “visiting you” here, I miss it when I can’t!
I have to mention that 90% of bad craft knifery is down to blunt blades, it’s suprising how exact and easy to use a sharp knife is. The sharper your blade the less pressure you need and the easier it is to move around an image. Craft blades blunt surprisingly quickly so treat your knife to a new blade if you are struggling and you will notice the difference straight away.

I love this card John. I wondered why I had not received any over last few days. I have been stamping various car stamps and motor
scooters. And cut them out with brother scan and cut, to take on holiday to colour in and make cards for boys and men.
