Artist Trading Card Daily – 29

Ok, so I had an ideas block today.

Thanks to all my Facebook & Twitter lovelies for their help.

Only trouble now is that I now have a gazillion ideas and not enough time to do them! Lol :)

Today’s ATCs (yes, two for the price of one) are therefore to reflect today…

ATC 29.1

Artist Trading Card Daily - 29.1

This ATC was to show what state of mind I woke up in! Lol. Just a couple of whispy clouds floating through my head.

It was a fairly swift make.

I die cut the clouds from post it notes and placed them on the cardstock.

Versacolor pigment ink (cyan and royal blue) where then brushed over the edges to give the blue sky.

I then layered it onto coordinating cardstock.

Bish bash bosh, job done.

Today the snow fell in Peterborough – yaaaay!

Not sure it will be around for long though as the sun is back out and the drizzle is starting. Anyway, this ATC is therefore dedicated to nature’s wonder – snow!

I first heat embossed some watercolour cardstock with white embossing powder and then used blue tones of Tim Holtz Distress inks to create a graduated bright blue background.

The stamp was a large Cover-A-Card stamp from Impression Obsessions.

I then gave this a coat of clear embossing powder and finished it off by fixing some Anita’s Mini gems into the centres of the snowflakes.

Not a huge range of inspiration today but at least I got a couple online.

Since my mojo got released (thank you) I have been creating willy-nilly so there will be plenty more to come. I’m even going to start popping your ideas in a jar and seeing what I pull out each day. I’ve also started editing a video on how to make the galaxy embossing powder background that I gave a sneek peek of on Facebook the other day :)

In the meantime –

Thank you for visiting and I hope that you are enjoying this series of daily posts.

As always, if you have any comments or questions about this post then please feel free to use the comments section below. Also, If you know of anyone that would appreciate reading this post, there are handy sharing icons below.

Many thanks for taking the time to read about my little creations.

I’ll see you again tomorrow!

  1. LOVED your first ATC – it totally summed up my brain since Christmas! Floaty clouds, nothing there. Got stressed out and still recovering. Just getting back under control – I hope! Your second one is simply beautiful.
For the last four weeks I’ve been sorting out my craft room and my new desk was finally delivered yesterday. After spending over three really frustrating hours putting it together I am now ready to go. You’ve given me and many others lots of inspiration and exact details of how to get wonderful results. Can’t thank you enough.
I don’t do Facebook either so am looking forward to you putting everything on your blog.

  3. Hi John

Those ATCs sum up the weather we had in Ipswich today. Blue sky then snow! That snow stamp is so pretty, I love the shades of blue you got on both.

If you need ideas don’t forget to ask here. I have social media accounts but don’t use them much. Anyway have a crafty evening,

    Hugs,
