Artist Trading Card Daily – 17

Today’s little creation takes us into the murky depths of the sea, to meet a colourful friend.

Artist Trading Card Daily - 17

This Artist Trading Card was made using a variety of bits and bobs.

To begin I stamped the tropical fish (from Clarity Stamps) onto some white cardstock. I then masked this off (using a mask that I made from a sticky note).

See D’s texture stamps were then used to create the watery depths. I used an assortment of Versacolor sea green themed pigment inks for this. I also used a flourishy swirl with a similar coloured ink in order to add a hint of seaweed in the background.

I coloured my little fishy friend in using some red toned Inktense pencils and topped this off with gold stripes using a gold fine line marker.

The foreground was made using the Small Flourish Right die from Cheery Lynn. I die cut several of these in the same cardstock as the main ATC layer but coloured them with a spattering of inks and alcohol markers, to give them a little more intense colour so that they stood out in the foreground.

To finish I added some coral coloured Anita’s Mini Pearl embellishments in each corner.

And there we have it, another mini make for the blog. 17 done, just 348 to go!
