For this Christmas tree decoration I have again enlisted the help of the Brother Scan N Cut for some simple decorations.
Pre-installed on the machine is a cute little candy cane so I set the machine up and cut twelve of each of the layers from white cardstock at just over three inches tall.
The cut outs with the striped ‘holes’ needed to be red – I could have cut these from red cardstock but instead chose to cut from white (as there was space on the sheet that I was using) and use a red Spectrum Noir pen to add the colour.
I then glued the layers together with some PVA and let dry.
For a final touch of sparkle I gave each one a quick spray with Crafters Companion glitter spray.
Job done and here is the final result on my Balsam Hill christmas tree.
Oh, and of course there was someone else happy to see these little treats!
He’s a cheeky little monkey isn’t he? lol :)
Anyway, so that’s another batch of decs done; still more to make!
I’m really enjoying this :))
See you again tomorrow!

These look really easy to make! This will keep thee kids busy all day. Do you think they will look god if we tried making them with felt?

Now that you say it, it does make sense. I showed them to the kids yesterday and they got so excited, we are going to make the canes this weekend!

Hello again and once again I love, LOVE the projects that you are sharing with us.
John may I ask a huge favor? Would you please consider making a video showing how to change and replace dull cutting blades for the brother scan n cut? At the present time, I have no idea where my user/owner’s manual is at. Thanks for all you do John. Truly appreciate all youve taught me via your videos and blog. Merry Christmas.
