Remember back when I was demonstrating the Inkadinkado Stamping Gear on Create and Craft TV? Well, it’s back – and so am I :)
There will be new Stamping Gear, new stamps and some other great little craft room helpers to boot – so what’s coming up? Read on my friends, read on.
If you have been reading this blog for a while you’ll probably know how much I love the Stamping Gear range and seen some my previous creations. If you would like to look back or catch up, please feel free to take a look through the Inkadinkado Stamping Gear Archive.
As a little bit of a preview I thought I’d snap some shots of the things that will be coming up in the shows.
Got that cup of tea ready? Ok, here we go.
First of all Inkadinkado have listened to the feedback from last year and come up with the Stamping Gear Bar.
This bar has been developed to give you a lot of different options. The same techniques that were used for the previous Stamping Gear can be used however this bar now means that you can extend designs over longer areas, created repeat borders and give you a more portable option. The Deluxe version will be supplied with FIVE sets of stamps to get you started (if you haven’t already).
This is not the only new tool from the range that will be appearing.
There will also be the Stamp-a-ma-jig, which is a stamp positioning system that helps you preview where you are putting your stamped images before you stamp them down.
There will also be the stamping sheet which is heat resistant and gives you nice cushioned support thereby helping get the perfect impression everytime.
There will be more stamps from the Stamping Gear range also, with Art Nouveau designs making an appearance (I’m well excited about that!!!). Here are a few images of the stamps.
Finally, for those looking for a little more sentiment in their designs there will also be a selection of religious themed stamps available on the shows.
Anyway, that’s it from me on this one. Please don’t forget to tune into the shows.
My first hour demonstrating this range of Create and Craft TV will be Monday 13th January 2014 at 11am.
I hope to see you there.
Many thanks for reading. See you again soon.

Hi John I am looking for something new to try and am very interested in the Inkadinkado systems – before I jump in do you know if there are any new sets in the pipeline or new C & C programmes being planned. I’m not sure whether to start with the circle/oval set or the square/rectangle set which do you think would be most useful – I make mainly square cards . Thanks Jackie Dawes

Hello Jackie :)
C&C just released a new batch of stamps and the new bar system in January. I am not aware of any more new things at this time. I am aware that there will be more shows in the future but couldn’t tell you when, mostly because I don’t know.
For newbies I always recommend the circle deluxe set just because the spacing is even, therefore easy to master, and you would have all of the tools to get started. I believe that there is a video on the product page on the C&C website if you would like to see it in action.
I hope this helps.

Hi John
after playing some time with the thought to get Inkadinkado – the more the merrier – I know bought some items and while waiting for it to be delivered I had a look for an Angel Policy as I have a business selling not only cards but everything what can be made. Well, a lot.
Anyway, what I found on the website from that company (http://www.eksuccessbrands.com/aboutus/guidelines.htm) is far beyond believing: one has to apply !! for an Angel Policy and to fill out a form. One has to put a mark on the item one has made that and what is used from them (we can’t print the whole back of a card with stuff like that, and what to do if printing on a table cloth or tea towel or something like that).
In that form one has to state the name and description of the used stamp (or any other item) as well as any item numbers. Then one has to give a project information (what item is to be produced). The next thing, one has to state the number of items one plans to create (well, does one know how many one will sell?), the approximate date of the project (one does produce when one needs more), the location where the items will be sold (that is only possible when one has either a shop or does only sell that particular item at only one fair or show or whatever. I do not sell in my own shop but ie in flower shops, book shops, in hospital shops, on markets. They don’t allow to sell any items in a store/shop.)
That is ridiculous as one has to apply not only for every single stamp used for approval but has to predict how often a stamp will be used and what for (you know what you all do, I am the same, doing all stuff what comes into my mind). The use of any image is limited of about 50 items per item.
Can you help me out with that? Do I have somewhere a wrong point of thinking? Do I misunderstand something? The way I read and understand that is that it is only usable for private use (and I have no use whatsoever for anything what can only be used for private). Who should be able to follow that sort of Angel Policy and how? I have no idea. I do know a lot of Angel Policies as I have to, but I never came across anything like that.
Have you any idea or do I send back what I ordered without even opening the parcel? Would be a shame though as the stamps are so pretty and versatile and I love what one can do with these gears.
Your answer – if possible per email – would be much appreciated. I know you are short of time but to find a minute would be great.
Thanks in advance and also thanks for your great shows and ideas.
Lena

Will the new gear bar set do all the shapes? Circles, squares, ovals etc? Or would I need to buy the circle set too?

The bar set will act as the circular cog did however it won’t give you the option to work on big circles or work in the centre of the bar. I would recommend having both sets if you can.

Really like this idea. We tried if at our craft group at the weekend and all enjoyed it. Just signed up for your blog and was interested to see about your Hot Pot. I also have one and love fusing the glass. See you buy your glass from the same place as me.

Hi John
I have the round and square stamping gear and just wondered if there is anything which I can do to get the sticky back on some of the stamps. A few of mine have lost their sticky surfaces?

Try warm soapy water and letting them dry naturally.
Let me if that does/doesn’t work.

Hi John, ordered the new Bar Gear yesterday and can’t wait for it to arrive and play, unfortunately like a lot of people the ScanNCut is a bit expensive at the moment as I’ve just bought a new sewing machine, maybe later if the pennies will allow.

Understood Jan. I hope to do blog posts in the future on how to use the machine with fabric so hopefully it’ll fit well in your sewing adventures in the future.

Ooh, at last – I wrote to them over a year ago, asking for a straight length so that I could use the dies as borders. But it seems they will only sell in sets with a lot of extra dies? Shame about that, my finances are stretched at the moment, so I might have to wait.

Hi John
Ordered my stamping bar set already plus the set of stamps with the ferns in. As I knew I definitely could not afford the Scan and Cut machine I thought I would treat myself to the stamping gear stuff, just in time for my Birthday next week. If the bank manager doesnt like it. -“tough”. hahaha.
